We're Ben and Danny Grande—but to our favorite little people in the world, we're just Uncle Ben and Uncle Danny.
We are brothers, storytellers, and software developers. But mostly, we are two uncles who hit a wall one December evening inside a Walmart.
It was just before Christmas, and we were standing in the middle of the toy aisle, surrounded by walls of plastic. We were looking for the perfect gift for our nieces and nephew, but everything felt... empty. We knew that whatever expensive gadget we picked out would likely be played with for 15 minutes and then buried at the bottom of a toy chest.
We wanted to give them something that would last. Something that would make their eyes light up not just for a moment, but every time they opened it—and something that would make them think of their Uncle Ben and Uncle Danny for years to come.
A New Twist on a Family Tradition
We have always loved reading and letting our imaginations run wild. And the tradition continues: our parents—known lovingly to their grandkids as "Granny" and "Google"—still buy the kids the same classic books they used to read to us when we were small.
We wanted to honor that tradition, but add our own personal touch. We realized the most meaningful gift we could give wasn't just another story off the shelf. It was the experience of being the hero of their own story.
So, we went to work. We combined our years of experience building web applications with our passion for creativity. We wanted to build a way for families like yours to create custom, beautifully illustrated books without needing to be a professional artist or writer.
Little Life Chapters is the result of that mission. It's our way of using technology to bring families closer together, one page at a time.
